About IMAGO
In psychology: IMAGO is an unconscious mental image of another person, especially the mother or father, that influences the way in which an individual relates to others. The imago is typically formed in infancy and childhood and is generally an idealized or otherwise not completely accurate representation.
In biology, the imago (Latin for "image") is the last stage an insect attains during its metamorphosis, its process of growth and development; it is also called the imaginal stage ("imaginal" being "imago" in adjective form), the stage in which the insect attains maturity.

The concept of Imago has already been a special term since the times of Ancient Rome and was used to designate that wax mask in the form of a portrait with which the dead were exposed in the Forum Romanum.

In all of these examples, the imago is more than just a literal or superficial depiction—it’s a deeper representation of psychological, symbolic, or idealized ideas, whether about identity, power, beauty, or emotion.
